Work across various teams to support cloud platform architecture and the creation a new Architecture capability within FSP.
Identify and develop cloud strategy for multiple organisations to enable them to leverage Cloud Services, including build of hybrid cloud platform for a large defence contractor and supporting the Cloud Strategy for a large UK charity. Provide advice and guidance on the implementation and BAU support for services.
Integration of cloud platform, customer development and data architecture to design and deliver internal SaaS services, including architectural design for a business automation service for a large financial services organisation.
Build PoC (Proof of Concepts) and development environments for various projects, including the use of Azure VMs, Containers, Azure Front Door with multiple Application services and Azure B2C authentication capabilities.
Help organisations and developers embrace automated deployment of services using infrastructure as code (Bicep/PowerShell/etc).
Support the Graduate scheme to encorage more young tallent into the organisation and providing mentoring for junior members of the FSP team.
Support business strategy for the Architecture, Cloud Engineering and Scottish teams.
Work with the senior management team to help define and support the business strategy.
Evangelise on the benefits of the Microsoft Public Cloud and develop Sword Cloud Platform strategy and offerings. Integrating with other practices to provide customers a complete solution.
Manage, support, and develop a team of technical consultants of various levels working across Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure and M365.
Provide Pre-Sales support to the sales team and ensure solutions are defined to support customers and manage customer expectations and escalations.
Design and build standard service offerings, including the creation of template documentation, defining training and service management requirements.
Provide technical support to customers with the build and design of cloud platforms, including automation of infrastructure (IaC, with Terraform/Bicep) and the integration with CI/CD platforms.
Promote an understanding around the benefits of Public Cloud providers and develop Product offerings for the UK Sales team, supporting industry events and customer engagements.
Design standard service offerings for the UK, including the creation of template documentation, defining training and service management requirements.
Support the creation of product service brochures, service offerings for the UK government digital marketplace (G-Cloud), and the implementation and management of the Proact CSP programme
Deliver Public Cloud engagements to customers, both as chargeable work and under pre-sales to implement and demonstrate the features and benefits of Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Provide Cloud Solution Architecture design and support to customers, providing recommendations and best practice around security, connectivity, integration, service utilisation and service operational models.
Support customers with automating services using Infrastructure as Code, Source Code Management and Control, and the implementation of Continual Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Helping customers migrate and transform business applications using Azure platform services.
Discuss and help customers understand the business impact of using Cloud services, supporting business cloud alignment and identifying gaps in a customers ability to fully leverage Public Cloud capabilities.
Identify opportunities to extend and expand current, traditional service offerings to the Public Cloud including using Azure Site Recovery to extend DR as a Service (DRaaS) and Blob storage for Backup as a Service (BaaS).
Provide support and advise to other Public Cloud consultants and the wider pre-sales team on their engagements and document reviews. Engage with Telesales team to develop call sheets and assist with customer engagements.
Received UK “Rookie of the Year” award and a nomination for the Group-wide award.
Working with worldwide customers to design the overall solution framework for the integration and deployment of the MultiVue Master Data Management product suite into customer environments.
Understanding Business, Infrastructure, Data, Application and Security requirements to design optimal solutions which are highly available, secure, performant, and supportable.
Provide customers with data, application, infrastructure and solution architecture designs and support implementation and testing.
Follow Service-Oriented Micro-Architecture design methodologies to support solution and application design.
Automate the implementation and support of solutions, including the automated build and configuration of MongoDB databases and MultiVue application components within Microsoft Azure.
Identify opportunities to apply data analytics to help support customers business requirements.
Product and Documentation management, including technical and training materials and customer design documentation.
Support pre-sales activities and training for customers and colleagues.
Support the Sales Team to promote and evangelise Microsoft technologies, particularly Office 365 and Azure cloud technologies, to both public and corporate sectors.
Concurrently support multiple customers to educate about and architect appropriate technical and licencing solutions to support business processes.
Lead technical pre-sales discussions to develop understanding and ease concerns regarding cloud solutions and support the implementation across organisations, including Management, IT, and the wider user base.
Work with customers to design and architect solutions to meet their business, technical and security requirements.
Key technologies include Microsoft Windows 10, Exchange, SharePoint, Skype for Business, Office 365, Azure, and Power BI along with various supporting services including an array of Security technologies.
Technical and Project Management of the Workplace Services components to migrate a large Public Services organisation (200,000+ users) from their current, legacy environment to a cloud-hosted platform.
Provide technical governance and team leadership for the workplace domain covering end-user devices and services (including integration with Office 365, Skype for Business, various desktop/laptop models, Thin Terminals/Citrix and management of user devices using SCCM and SEP).
Full end-to-end project planning and resourcing requirements, presenting to senior stakeholders, and supporting ongoing changes to requirements and timescales.
Review current environments to identify specific technical requirements for the overall design and provided governance for low-level designs and implementation.
